Hello, I'm Ana

I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.

A few years back, my family and I moved here. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter in my life abroad.

How It Started

Moving to Portugal wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.

The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more tangled than they should.

The Adjustment Period

Culture shock, doubts, and hands-on learning were part of it. Yet gradually a rhythm emerged. We found spots that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.

Why I Built RamelSivonQueda

Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an authentic, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap by offering practical guidance drawn from real-life experiences in Portugal.

What This Website Represents (And What It Doesn't)

This site OFFERS:

  • Hands-on insights from living in Portugal
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever something truly changes

This site DOESN'T:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • Platform for sponsored reviews
  • A generic travel blog

Moving Forward

Our stay in Portugal continues, along with the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep noting what we uncover.

If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Ana
